This loop begins at the near the Mt. Washington Hotel at Bretton Woods (trail pass required) and enters hardwood and coniferous forest. The route passes by a yurt managed by Bretton Woods and shortly after begins paralleling the Ammonoosuc River on the old B & M Railroad grade. The rest of the way is a mild descent back to Bretton Woods.
